ScrapPink!

We had a BLAST at ScrapPink last weekend! We are extending the Silent Auction through Saturday of this week if you'd like to come by and make bids. The proceeds from the auction benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

We also have several goodie bags left. They can be purchased for $20. The proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

This Wednesday marks the two-month anniversary of our store opening! Check the newsletter or come by the store to get the scoop on this week's celebration sale!

Jan's Halloween Treat Can Class is this Saturday! There are spots left during the 2 p.m. class. The cost is $20.

Don't forget the gift certificate contest--each comment you leave on a September post earns you a chance to win a $25 gift certificate! We'll post the winner this week!

Jan's Class & New Goodies!

Everyone seemed to have a great time at our FIRST class on Saturday!!! Jan is a great teacher! She shared with me that she thought she would be nervous, but as soon as she met the sweet ladies who attended her class, she was just fine! Her next class is on Saturday, October 4th, when she will be sharing how to make an adorable Halloween treat can (the lid can stay off for trick-or-treating, but then seals to be child-proof when Mom doesn't want the kiddos sneaking into the candy stash!) Now if we could only make a candy container that was hubby-proof...

It seems like it took a loooong time for the Prima stuff to get here--and there are actually a few backorder items still not in--but now that it's here...don't you LOVE this Halloween and Christmas stuff? How cute are those owls?

BTW, Halloween Costume Crop is Saturday, October 11th, so be thinking about your costume...I'm coming as a black cat! And don't forget about this Saturday, 9/27...there are still a couple of spots left for ScrapPink!

Hmmm...

I feel like giving something away...hmmmm...how about a $25 gift certificate? Leave a comment on ANY of our September posts and you'll have a chance to win one! I am going to count the comments we've already received, and yes, you can leave a comment on every post. I'll do the drawing on October 1st and post the winner's name some time that day.

Speaking of gift certificates--if you receive the newsletters you already know, but in case you don't...send me your birth date and we'll wish you a happy birthday on your month's newsletters. AND every time you make a purchase during your birthday month, you are registered for a gift certificate! AND did you know that more Americans have birthdays in August than any other month? September is second. Useless trivia, nothing to do with scrapbooking, but kinda cool...

As long as I'm free-associating, we have several new glitter birthday papers too.

Come see us!

Glitter Papers

I can't believe I haven't posted these pics already...we got in LOTS of glitter papers by Best Creation early in the week. They are so cool! The glitter is coated with a clear seal that prevents it from flaking. The pictures really don't do them justice--you'll just have to come in and see them in person...

We have had a few cancellations for ScrapPink on September 27th, so we now have five spots available. Don't miss out! If you are unable to stay for the entire day, at least try to come by to see the great stuff that the attendees are making for the Silent Auction and donating for the Yard Sale. All proceeds from these two activities go directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Teresa Collins stuff

According to my group of customers who visited from Jerri's retreat last weekend, this stuff is way cool! We had a few things at the store Saturday, but this shipment had not come in yet--but it did today! The chipboard covers and Journal-It sheets make cool mini albums, with a Zutter or with a Crop-a-Dile and book rings. We now have the sheet protectors too.

Lots of other good stuff came in too--bling, travel embellishments, Beau Jardin papers by Bo Bunny, Family Ties papers by Flair, embossed albums, Making Memories Christmas, Boy and Girl Scout goodies--and lots more! Come on...you know you need some retail therapy...

Great weekend!

Thanks to Jerri and her Crop 2 Help retreat group for coming out to the store this past Saturday! What a fun group of ladies! As you can see, Christen enjoys having company!

We also enjoyed hosting a catered crop for Billie, who is a "newbie"! She won a crop for herself and five friends at a crop hosted by our friend Gail. They were our first group to use the dance studio for a crop space, and I think they enjoyed having all that room! We have another crop this Saturday--who's coming? Call the store and let us know! =) We have spaces left!

Custom School Papers are in!

We now have these great, custom-printed school papers! We have also ordered Pell City, Hewitt, Pinson Valley, and Clay-Chalkville, which should be in within a few weeks. The designs are printed on semi-gloss paper that is similar in thickness to cardstock, and the way we had the headings done would work for school events for any age student, not just high schoolers.

Our one-day sale Friday was so much fun, and Saturday was a great day too! A lot of new folks stopped by to shop and say hello, which we love! Once we meet you, we consider you our friends, not just our customers. We are working hard to learn everyone's names--we believe it's important that you know we're glad you came to see us! One of our goals when opening the store was that customers would feel welcome in the store, as though they were visiting a friend to have a cup of coffee and a chat. We want you to know that you're not just a check or a charge card when you come in--we want to help you find what you need, we want to hear about and see the projects on which you're working, and we want you to know it's great to see you!

Thanks for making our first month so wonderful! We've had a blast so far, and it's because of YOU!

And in case you missed it, don't worry...we'll have another one-day sale soon!
